According to Reuters, the Guinea government has approved plans to develop bauxite and aluminum refining projects worth 1 billion 400 million US dollars in the northwestern part of the country.
The project investment company is SBG, a subsidiary of Dutch Firm Metal Corp Group, and will be located in a regional construction project with proven reserves of over 3 billion tons of bauxite.
It is expected that SMG can be put into production by the end of 2022. In 2017, the output of Guinea bauxite was 50 million tons, an increase of 2 times compared with that of 2016.
